What Data We Collect
Account Information
- Name, email address, password (encrypted)
- Language and theme preferences
Nutrition Profile
- Height, weight, age, gender
- Activity level, weight goals
- Dietary preferences and restrictions
Meal Data
- Meal descriptions you enter
- Nutritional analysis results
- Your notes and timestamps
Voice Data (if you use voice input)
- Audio is sent to our transcription provider (AssemblyAI)
- Audio files are deleted immediately after transcription
- Only the text transcript is stored
Technical Data
- IP address (for security)
- Browser and device info
- Session data
Payment Data (Premium users)
- Processed by Polar - we never see your full card number
- We only receive: subscription status, last 4 digits of card
How We Use Your Data
- Provide nutrition tracking and AI meal analysis
- Process voice input into text
- Manage your subscription and payments
- Send important account notifications
- Provide customer support
- Improve our service (using anonymized data only)

VoxFood uses AI to analyze your meals:

What we send to AI: Your meal description and language preference only.

Data Retention

Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data (export from Profile)
- Correct your data (edit in Profile)
- Delete your account and all data
- Export your meal data as CSV
- Contact your local data protection authority if you have concerns

Data Security
We protect your data with:
- HTTPS encryption for all connections

Children
VoxFood is for users 13 years and older. If you're under 13, please don't use VoxFood. If we learn a child under 13 has registered, we'll delete their account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email.
